Living with Autism and surviving the mental health loop

In this age, mental health services are becoming more and more difficult to define to the general public. What will the insurance or Medicaid cover and what is to be done if someone does not have any coverage are the frequent questions that are asked especially by parent care givers of individuals with Autism.

If not specializing in this area, one is to usually refer these parents to the Autististic Society in Atlanta but what afterwards? We’re not always dealing with child clients.
Many parents try to find services on behalf of their adult children. Now, does this change the criteria for having to serve and make the appropriate referrals for adults with Autism versus a child is the most common concern?

What will a person without any sufficient insurance expect to receive in return?
These questions are not posed out to confuse anyone but to evoke an awareness that is usually not present within the larger bodies governing our mental health treatment options available to families.

For instance, many of the community state funded mental health agencies in Georgia do not provide just medication management and will require another mental health diagnosis in order to serve a client with Autism. Second, a person with Autism who does not have a good support system or insurance whether private or public coverage will run into a problem as to how to pay for services.

It is as though clients with severely persistent mental health illness can be served by the low fee community agencies only if they meet a certain criteria. Many of the therapists at those agencies are not trained specifically to work with individuals with Autism and although many of us consider ourselves to be generalist and strive to provide a decent service we run into a brick wall when it comes to ensuring that we can provide a long term and adequate treatment to those most deprived of mental health services.

There is a growing need for therapists to receive more training in treating Autism that does not surpass the need for more services to be available for individuals of Autism not only children but adults and greater support availability for their families.

Riddle...

A Hidden Story

When there was a time for the sun to be born -
There on a hill near by the sea
In the early morn
I saw two graves side by side.
Two men walked beside it.
They unburied one of them –
Inside a coffin lay a man –
Dead with scarlet blood upon his chest.
The man woke up –
It seemed he was not dead but just asleep.
Fresh air came into the grave and saved this man.
The two men saved him from death.
This is a hidden truth and the story is real
But on your own you’ll have to reveal what all of this means.

Purifying the Heart Chakra Part I

The heart is the seat of emotions. This was the one organ which the Egyptians did not remove from the body during the mummification process. They removed the brain but not the heart since they believed that it was the center of our soul. A powerful symbolism from past ages acknowledges that although we think and act with the help of our brain, it is our emotions which take control over. Often times we act driven purely by our emotions against all logic.
It is our passions and the cries of our ego which we obey despite the consequences. In the developing embryo, the heart starts beating around the early weeks of development. With each beat of the heat, we welcome life with its joys and sorrows throughout our earthly existence.
When we are calm, out heart beats steady and rhythmically; when we are in love, r loving towards others, it feels as though our heart expands. When we are angry our heart also records our turmoil’s within its fastened, irregular beats. Sometimes when a person loses a life long partner and dies shortly afterwards, we hear people say that this person has died of a broken heart.
When we forget to be kind to our own heart by allowing anxiety, anger and hatred to dwell in it, we not only suffer psychologically, we also can have heart disease and heart attacks. It is the cry of the heart that lets us know that we are not living a balanced life.
Do you need to restore your heart to its original self? The heart is an intelligent organ. It registers your intentions and feelings as you utter both loving and hurtful words. Our heart is not only a part of us, it is also the vehicle that connects us with others and life as a whole. You can see that a loving, caring and well intended person emanates a beautiful and serene energy when you come in contact with this person. On the other hand, an angry and distraught person seems to carry a dark cloud not only around oneself but also contaminates the energy of others when it comes in contact with them.
Feelings and thoughts create an energy field. What we think we can feel and what we feel can be sensed by others around us who in return are affected by it. The heart chakra in itself is an energy filed that records all of our emotional experiences. When we do not live a healthy life style, when we are mentally and emotionally exhausted, our heart chakra becomes out of balance. It is the heart chakra that connects us with others on the energy level of feelings. That is why feelings seem to be contagious. When a person whose heart chakra comes in contact with another person whose heart chakra is also out of balance, each affects the energetic field of the other. One person’s negativity becomes the other one’s burden.

Losing a Beloved Pet

To me, like to many others, pets are like children. They are little angels in fur coats that love you when you come home in a bad mood and when you wake up groggy first thing in the morning. They are always there loving you the way you are, no matter what. Pets are part of our families. They are our companions in life. Unfortunately, the life span of some pets is much too short. For a pet owner, the lifespan of a pet is never long enough. One day, inevitably, we must say good bye.

Grieving

Grieving the loss of a pet is similar to grieving that of a person. It is not uncommon for a grieving pet owner to experience the stages of grief -

Denial

Anger

Bargaining

Depression

Acceptance

As a bereaved pet owner, you may start to feel isolated from those who do not understand your bond with your pet. You may feel sensitive, lonely and hurt inside.

Some Helpful Tips to help you deal with the death of a beloved pet

Take time to grieve. Do no rush to get another pet right away. Use this time to mourn the departure by creating a special ceremony, whether you cremate or burry your pet. Saying goodbye is important in order to have closure.

If you do not have a picture album, you may want to put your pet’s pictures in a scrap book or in a picture frame and look at them often. Keeping toys or other pet belongings is OK. A big mistake that people make, is trying to bottle up their feelings and memories of their pet, hoping that their grief will decrease.

Avoidance only makes it harder to deal with your pet’s departure. If you have children, it is important to let them share their feelings openly. You may want to read the book Freddie the Leaf by Leo Buscaglia to your children. Do not discourage children from believing that their pet has gone to heaven.

You and your departed pet will be together through life connected by the lesson you have both learned - To love unconditionally.

Karma and past life regression

What are Karma and Past Life Regression?

According to Buddhism and other religions, karma refers to the Law of Cause and Affect. During our present life, we may encounter illnesses whether physical or emotional, discord with others and either fortunate or misfortunate events. Karma postulates that all of these occur as a result of our actions in the past.
Past Life Regression is a tool that can help you discover and amend the reasons for today’s events in your life. Through hypnosis, a trance state is achieved that helps your subconscious recall this pertinent information. You have free will to decide how to use this information and to make the necessary changes in your life. Ultimately, you are the creator of your own karma.

Silver Thread part II

This writing was transmitted through channeling information that came from those who are called the Light Bearers. The two Light Bearers who have identified themselves as Ancethemus and Theosophus are just two out of many who transmitted this so that Man knows His origin. All of this was possible through the Law of ONE!

II
The Fall

1)The human being which it became know as, truly felt cursed and started to believe that all illness, pain, and death of the physical shell has befallen on it and it felt guilty and responsible. It started to view itself as separate from the One Primordial Energy and it started to pray to external gods and to make animal sacrifices, human offerings, build temples and chisel images of god as he understood it as a result of it. 2) Over the time of its evolution and existence as both matter and self governed spirit, it forgot its true origin. Some men even today still seek to appease god (mistaking The Manifestor for god the creator) by resorting to these means. This pushes them further into oblivion of their true nature and inner powers.

3) The Bright Star, a part of the One Primordial Energy that came to be as a result of the Seed of Spirit tried to remedy this by the great flood and by other horrors that came upon Men like Sodom and Gomorrah not of hatred or anger as priests would have you believe today but because of great compassion and pity and great sadness for Men who has forgotten his nature. But so it happened that when the great flood had come there were many Men on other planets who survived it and continued to live and came back on earth. 4) That initial Being who came out of the first hermaphrodites as Adam and Eve had survived and its genetic code, its physical imprint was not destroyed. It controls the nature of spirit that descends into it time after time. This is the meaning of the serpent who was cursed to crawl on its belly. Meaning- it was the DNA’s double strand image that is evident in the lower vibrational fields of physical form. That is what it is mean to crawl below. The dirt that it drags when it crawls relates to the mutations that take place in the DNA with time.

5)These were some of the attempts of the One Primordial Energy to correct things through the Bright Star in order to save itself from the pains and ignorance of physical life that has trapped the spirit because of its lust of physical form.
As time went by, the Seed of Spirit vibrated lower and lower in Men and it lead Men believe that the only ability to create comes through the efforts of physical form. It forgot that in fact it started with the ability to create on a higher vibrational level.

6)By this time, spirit has learned how to vibrate at various levels having become individualistic, separate and self sufficient and it did not let go of the physical lower vibrational existence because only though it, it felt all life has to offer in the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdom. It became possessive of the “dense physical form” and of its life. It became greedy and it learned murder, trickery, greed, hatred, jealousy and how to lie in order to hold on to the physical existence through mental and physical means. 7) It started to see itself as Many versus ONE.
This is known as the Fall of Men. It refers to the fall of high vibrating energy into lower vibrating energy and the oblivion of Spirit and the true nature of Life.

Paneurhytmy

Food for Thought

Is it fair to ask underdeveloped countries to go green when many advanced industrial countries owe their success to destructive environmental principals?

What is fairness?

Is the sun hot for the nomads in the desert or is it not warm enough for the Eskimos?
What is fair in one situation may not be seen as fair in another. As they say “it is all in the eye of the beholder.” As far as asking- you can ask anything of any one as long as you do not demand.
In Bulgaria, an eastern European country, you may see on the same street a Lamborghini and a gypsy in a horse and carriage. You can feast your eyes on the electrically illuminated brand new hotels on the Black Sea owned by foreign investors and at the same time stumble and fall in a hole on a street in the out skirts of a major town populated by Roms.
You can definitely see shady businessman gorge down steaks and expensive liqueur as you watch the quite popular by now British movie about the orphans of Mogilino – a town in northern Bulgaria who go do bed hungry and who do not receive proper medical care due to lack of monetary funds.
As German foreign cars zoom by you, you can also see many people who daily walk to work in sleet and rain and scourging heat because they cannot afford even an older beat up vehicle.
Going green may mean different things for different individuals. Some people in the suburban areas live a green as they plow their fields by animal driven plows. They make enough to feed their family if even that in a country which now prides itself due to being an EU member.
As Western Europeans come to vacation on our Black sea and marvel at the beauty of the country, its women and two Euros beers, more and more foreign investors build hotels not even worrying about plumbing and the after math this will cause to wild life in the area. No one cares of the environment and everyone cares about his own pocket.
So, you can ask the affluent businessman, the power and money hungry politicians to go green as well as those who by the lot of faith are living somewhat a green life to go green or even greener.
Each human being will be able in return to do what they can do based on their spiritual, social and moral development. Do not expect miracles. Do no be shocked; just accept it for what it is because this is life; this is reality for many and you as idealistic as you are may come to understand the nature of things beyond fairness and unfairness and find yourself in the middle.

Continuity and Change

Change is growth. Growth is an ever-present and ever-changing phenomenon that can occur only with changes. Spiritual growth means acknowledging the flexibility within and accepting the impermanence of things. Salvation from the external reality is not something that can be attained since reality changes all of the time as well as our own perception of it. What we feared years ago is at the present time something to which we have become accustomed. What we wanted to learn back in the past is something we teach others today. Change is the life force in life. It is an energy that is constantly in motion. In the Gospel of Mary Magdalene (22) we find more of Jesus’ words: “All nature, all formations, all creatures exist in and with one another, and they will be resolved again into their own root.” And in the Gospel of Philip: “All that is composite will decompose and return to its Origin; but those who are awake to the Reality without beginning or an end know the uncreated, the eternal.” We need to view life as a continuous string of events without a beginning or end. Perceiving life as constantly changing shows us that we attribute qualities and timeframes such as past, present, and future to our existence.
When I was a child, while visiting the Rila Monastery suited in the Bulgarian mountains, I saw a wall painting of the Wheel of Life by the iconographist Zachary Zograph. It can still be seen today. The painting depicts life in a circular versus a linear form where human life is depicted to be progressing within the four seasons from spring to winter and back. In the center of the painting is a temptress woman holding a cup full of the pleasures of life, and at the peripheral human life is shown as eternal transition from life to death and life again. As a child, I marveled at the painting and also experienced disappointment and fear while I wondered if that was all there was to life.
Spiritual development is a process of continuous growth within change. Existence in itself is something we struggle to explain or comprehend. Each individual therefore experiences spiritual growth or inner development subjectively. It should not be surprising that different people report similar experiences during an enlightening experience. Everything in nature is connected, and one person can tap into the same information as another one. However, how each person experiences this situation and then tries to explain it to others occurs on a totally personal and subjective level.

Silver Thread: Legend of the Ligh Bearers part I

This writing was transmitted through channeling information that came from those who are called the Light Bearers. The two Light Bearers who have identified themselves as Ancethemus and Theosophus are just two out of many who transmitted this so that Man knows His origin. All of this was possible through the Law of ONE!

In the Beginning (Part I)

I ask, what was there before we have what we see now? There is no past, no present, no future just IT. There was Pure Original Primordial Energy. It cannot be explained, contained, fully apprehended because it encompasses all that IS.
Out of it preceded the rest.
Now a small seed out of this energy filed is what veered off. It is like a drop of water in an infinite sea. It is called Spirit.
1) This spirit is the inner voice that comes and goes but is always there if you are quiet enough to hear it.
Spirit multiplied like a seed planted in the ground multiplies and bears fruit and after some time you do not know where all of the harvest came from.
The seed or spirit is the bearer of life but it is only a portion of the ALL which cannot be explained nor comprehended, seen or touched.
All was conceived in the energy field. Then, some manifested in the physical.
It is the first Fall!

What of the physical life?
Physical life is the dense vibration and only a mere image of the seed of life.
It is there to remind us from where we came and we did not originate here in the physical world.

2) Matter originated down here (although there is no down here and up there only perception) in the lower regions of the ALL encompassing sea but the spirit was always here and everywhere. Spirit was not clothed and it did not know how else to express itself but in the physical word.
In the beginning if there is an end since nothing has a beginning and an end only we perceive it as such there is always the One Primordial Energy which gave out the seed of spirit. After that there were spirit and matter.
Now, there is spirit dwelling in matter as though it has trapped it and brought it down from its glorious sparkling place beyond what the human mind can perceive.

Who learned how to harvest the spirit?
It was the one called The Manifestor. This is the first self governed energy. The second is the Bright Start. They are from One source but are two separate. It is like looking at the palm and than the top of the hand. One yet two images.

3) When the mystics speak of Adam and Eve or the first man and woman in fact they speak of matter seducing spirit and multiplying on earth and elsewhere.
4) In the very beginning we speak of the one in two where two sexes existed in one being. Now you call them hermaphrodites and you see them as an abnormality but it is in fact the true expression of how it was in the very beginning that spirit came to earth. It was a true expression of the Seed.

It came to earth to experience the physical way of being not knowing that it will hold it down in its sorrows, illnesses, famine, aging, destruction, and all things physical that are hated today.

5) A beautiful tale started in the very beginning. Spirit came to know the physical world through the senses, the pleasures of physical life and then came the rest. In the beginning though, physical life begot life and the spirit descended down to dwell in. The material became its host. That is why even inanimate objects are impregnated with energy and the therein atoms vibrate and are truly alive- a beautiful thing.

6) And Spirit saw how marvelous it was to be everywhere and to experience everything on a grand scale. Then, the first Being that we call man divided in two. Man and Woman – male and female. And spirit continued to descend therein and multiply its image. Spirit was always one but when it came to dwell in a physical form through the seed on earth and elsewhere, it became many individual forms. It caused the seed of spirit to thirst more and more for its won individuality and its own expression and it continues to do this today.

7) When people speak of True God they speak of this energy which had no beginning and no end. Then, they had to explain human pain and misery and they attributed it to Adam and Eve but the truth is, that misery started the moment when the Seed of Sprit decided to impregnate and dwell in matter as though high energy itself was not enough. 8) And as you cannot create nor destroy it, it started to exist in physical form which gives the impression of life and death and of creation and of destruction. In fact, it is a big mirage where what you see is what it is not but the physical existence starts to limit you to only that vibrational nature and you do not see beyond it.
Out of the Seed were The Manifestor and the Bright Start. And as self governed energy one pulled one way and the other in another direction.

9) Let’s go back to the time when it was One Being. There was One energy which is still existent today. This energy fuels life in all forms animate and inanimate. Without it, there will be nothing. This One energy connects everything and that is why life is truly one and interconnected. Some understand this some do not. It does not matter because that is how it is. 10) Energy wanted to become known. It did not want to exist to its own self of attraction and diffusion. There was no one and nothing to bear witness of it.

11) This One primordial energy started to vibrate lower and lower and lower and to create form. All sorts of forms crude, superb, grand, small and so on.

This is when we hear of the fallen Angles. The fallen Angles are from that initial one Spirit of the Bright Star that became self ruling or autonomous and multiplied in form by will but not in carnal form. They can if they chose to manifest denser forms although they do not have form such as the physical form that is perceived now. It went in a way against the initial One Being because it took over its own existence and its own movement in the energy filed. One the other hand, The Manifestor received its strength through attracting the energy which Men sent forth in his prayers, rituals and worship.
12) Hence forth, we hear of the battle of light and darkness- of good and evil. There is no such battle for if One came from the Other how can a person say one is better than the other? This is a human misunderstanding.

13) It was not the fallen Angels that caused this division in and about Existence. It was the Seed of Spirit that decided to divide and multiply and so it happened that they were the first intelligent cause to become self governed energy. That is that.
14)Now, The Manifestor as energy which is all intelligent and ever present expended and it felt that it should have control over all and everything and everyone because it did not conceive that it was from the Seed of Spirit that it came into being and not a separate entity of its own.
But, as the One Primordial Energy does not control nor influences, not judges, nor punishes nor creates nor destroys but only exists, The Manifestor was free to move about as it chose and the law of cause and affect did not affect his movements. And it chose to expand for the sake of attracting more of this pure energy from the other forms that were out there.

15) Out of The Bright Star came these called as the Fallen Angels. They were called fallen because they did not originate from The Manifestor and did not stay in the same energy field. They did not use other’s energy to expand but derived being from the One Primordial Energy of the Seed of Spirit.
All in all, the Fallen Angles are self governed energy while the rest, which, we call the other Angels are not self governed as IldaBaoth influences their vibrational nature, movement and diffusion and expansion.

16) We hear that the Fallen Angels came to earth (one of many) and mated with the creatures of earth.
17) This is what actually happened-
Those called the Fallen Angels existing as high vibrational energy yet totally individualistic in the ability to also manifest things had no physical form the way physical life is perceived to be today.
Having seen that the Seed of Spirit was creating physical forms, the Fallen Angels descended upon the inhabitants of the lower planes to teach or transmute the knowledge of self governance. There, they found the First one Being – Male and Female in One- the Hermaphrodite. This did not matter to the Fallen Angels because it was a perfect being yet, not self governed. It was not self governed because The Manifestor was affecting its vibrational field.
18)What this means is, that the Seed of Spirit from the Primordial One Energy has impregnated it but these beings had no will of their own as they did not know how to manifest things for themselves.

19) This is when you hear of the serpent tempting the One Being that “God” created.
It was not Adam and Eve (as two separate beings) It was just One Being- Spirit clothed in physical matter. When the power of the Fallen Angels came upon it and, you hear of that Self Governed Energy that came down to this Being and it showed it that it can multiply and manifest things for itself through its lower vibrational nature. 20) It showed it how to do so and it showed it how to attract Energy from the One Primordial Source people call god to sustain it. As time went by, it showed it how to use its free will. There was no impregnation of matter between matter but of pure spirit guiding matter.
For, if The Manifestor was better than this other energy field of the Bright Star, it would have somehow prevented this from happening. But we know that both came from the same source.
This took away some of its control over spirit. But, as we know, it had control over the lower vibrational fields because it viewed them as separate from Itself when in Fact it was all ONE.
21) It was so because all of this was novel and in error, it not recognizing that it all came from IT.
22) Then, in anger it cursed this new being that became separate afterwards – Man and Woman- two separate beings. This curse is not a curse as people perceive a curse to be. It was the unification of cause and affect. Hence forth, pure spirit disillusioned by craving, attachment and subdued by the law of cause and affect.

23)After this, it is when the rest of the self governed energy (Fallen Angels) came down (down means into the energy field called Mind) and gave true life to these separate forms which without it could not have become what you would now consider ” truly alive” since their eyes were now open.

24) And the new creature over its evolution, wept because in its misunderstanding did not see that it was all part of the One Primordial Energy. It forgot where it came from. It forgot its True Nature. It believed that The Manifestor wanted it to believe that it was the master of its dominion having control over the beasts of the forests and by cultivating vegetation. In doing so and in seeing and believing that it needed other physical forms to sustain it; it slumbered into forgetfulness of the power and magnitude of the Spirit within.
25)The Fallen Angels were not its destructors. They were the life givers in the sense that they merely showed Men that he has the power of “free will through Spirit”.
The Fallen Angels did not teach separation nor disobedience because these concepts are something people think of. 26) The Fallen Angels continue to be high vibrational self governing energy which does not mend in other’s self governed path.
27) Why are they called Fallen Angels?
Some of them decided to enter physical human form but this is not until much later and thus became known as the Light Bearers although different cultures know them under other names.
In that form, they can remain for as long as they wish on earth though the power of Will. They chose to do so in order to aid Men in finding their true calling and ultimately to recognize their Spirit nature. All of their help is only in the form of transmission of knowledge and energy and it does not interfere with the Free Will of other Beings.

Law of Attraction part II

If anyone teaches that what you wish for comes true we'd all be rich and famous. You cannot just sit and cross your fingers and wish, and wish, and wish. Actually, you can but that is not what works. If you have a desire to get something in life wheat er it is a new job, a car, a partner etc, you will need to not only clarify that goal, you'd have to make the necessary steps to get that. Sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. When "The Secret" came out, I was not really surprised at how many people took that information and ran with it. I am a believer in the law of cause and affect. I believe that certain things are circumstantial and that some are reactions to some action(s) in the past. For instance, if someone hates you, perhaps you either did something to cause that or they are just a low life- you did nothing they are just a hateful person. I do believe that at times when you smile the world smiles back at you (of course if you do in the psych ward with all the institutionalized suicidal patients) that may not happen (don't blame it on karma or say that the law of attraction is not working) It is what it is.
Can the mind cure the body? Yes, in certain cases hypnosis is show to be beneficial in the removal of phobias, pain, rashes etc. Can the mind cure AIDS or cancer? I am not going to make that statement. When wide sound research shows that it does then I'd say yes it's possible. Do I believe that meditation is beneficial? Yes. Do I believe that you can be a slave to your mind when you get depressed or addicted to something? Yes. Can the mind move mountains (kind of- when a group of man with bulldozers and dynamite gets together and clears the path for a train rail to be placed) Use your mind constructively but don't think that wishing only will bring you your desires. Been there, done that!

You are what you eat!

People need food to survive. Why are so many people obese when there is no scarcity of food especially in the West? Being a vegetarian or a vegan is not only healthy, it is also humane. Do you really need to eat a duck or a rabbit to feel satisfied in your belly, entertain your taste buds, or say to yourself I had a nice meal?
Plato said "Do not make your stomachs graves for animals" and I agree. When an animal was maltreated, filled with hormones and finally slaughtered so you can eat it, all of the animal's fears and anxieties in addition to the unhealthy hormones, it releases cortisol (stress hormone) in its body. Now you've just consumed that as well.
The Greek philosopher Pythagoras believed that out diet when it is pure can make our bodies less susceptible to the impure gross energies of the environment.
Another Greek philosopher Plato, had been credited with the saying “don’t make your stomachs graves for animals” and was a vegetarian.
I believe that the food we consume can affect not only our physical being but also our emotional and mental state. Unfortunately, the scientific advancement of our age now supplies us with genetically engineered vegetables, cloned meet, and pesticide and chemically filled foods. I do not wonder why there are so many children in the US diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. These diagnoses are less common if given at all in other non western cultures. Some would argue that this is because there is a lack of research while others can argue the opposite that the research in the west leads to self fulfilled prophecies and more money for the pharmaceutical companies.

BE a Human Being

It does injustice to think that just because someone calls oneself human that he actually acts like a human being. Unfortunately in my life I had found myself on the receiving end of savages in human form. Even monsters at times! Faith and circumstances had thrown me for the last four years in the "customer service" field. When people call wheater they consider themselves other "professionals" or clients, I and my colleagues are often at the receiving end of verbal abuse. I and another person at work have accents (not that strong) for both of us having lived in America most of our lives, yet I am being told to "speak f****n English by an ignorant one on the other end. Let us suppose that I was not speaking to a native American but to another Anlgo Saxon some several generations later or an Easter European or God only knows what lineage. What gives another person the right to abuse others verbally? If you're so much better than others just because you think you do not have an accent, I pity you. But this is not just about accents. If people need to live in ignorance there is nothing you can do. Have you heard of the Foreign Accent Syndrome? That would be so karmic if one or few of those abusers and haters wake up with that. I wish it on no one yet, everything is possible.
When you are calling someone in a customer service, please, please no matter how long you've waited do not take your frustration at the person on the other end. That person has been answering call after call and has no control over the call volume. Also, the pi on on the other end is not a CEO nor an underwriter so please if you have some complaints to lodge do it civilly and speak to the other person like to another human being. If you're angry or frustrated or just mean spirited, talk and engage others when you are in a better mental space. Do unto others not just as you would like done unto you but better! BE and ACT as a Human Being not some fiend.

The Law of Attraction or Hard Work?

The Power of Intention Part I
I don’t watch a whole lot of TV and generally won’t watch reality shows. This weekend though my hubby called me over to see a reality show about the “house wives of Atlanta” I watched it very briefly. The questions that popped up in my mind were “why there is a reality show about millionaire house wives (the average women do not really identify with them) and (why are these wealthy women in a show?) It’s not like they need the money. I was not surprised to see that they cared about fashion, brand names and other frivol ties. That is fine of course since they can afford whatever they want (or at least the money they’ve got from where ever were allowing them to lead a certain life style)
Now some of you may say “what about the law of attraction”? What about it?

The law of attraction does not work by wishing and waiting. If someone wants something in life, whether it is wealth, love, respect, kids etc, one has to work towards that. In the example of the house wives – well they worked through it trough marriage and what not. To elaborate on the law of attraction- that really is not a new concept. It did not start with The Secret, or with Ask and it is Given, it did not even start with Wayne Dyer’s the power of intention. Some of you may have come upon this concept from Wattles writing grow rich, Jose Sylva’s Method,…..A Bulgarian spiritual teacher by the name of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov also mentioned this in his writings as the Law of Correspondence or the Boomerang Effect. There are of course others before him that did so as well and the list can go on.

If you want to get something or achieve something you’ve got to set goals for yourself and pursue them. I believe that whatever you focus on you draw that to you. If you focus on misery, you get bogged down. If you focus on love, you’re more loving towards others and they at times return your love. You get the idea. I suggest you take with a grain of salt who teaches you that wishes just manifest. There are certain things that just don’t. There is not going to be snow in the desert no matter how long someone there intends for that (unless you’re considering the Saudi Arabian man-made ski resort) Intention and manifestation are not magic. You get results out of your attempts. I am very weary of teachers who proclaim other wise. I will talk more about it in another post.

Oneness

One evening, while driving back from work, I saw a car hit a bird and proceed on its way without stopping. Being an avid animal lover, I pulled over on the side of quite a busy highway and placed the bird in my car. It turned out that the bird was a red-tailed hawk. I drove for two hours with it in my car looking for a veterinarian that could tend to it. Eventually, wildlife rescue personnel examined the bird and luckily no bones were broken. He told me how dangerous it was to drive around with a wild bird in my car, and I also found out that it was against the law to have had the hawk. There was no time when I was afraid of the bird. I was only moved by my internal drive to do what seemed right and I think he felt that.
As I said previously, selfishness and lack of concern for others is not a new phenomenon. Some people have pets and then move to another location, or have babies after which, they get rid of their furry companions. It is as though they used their pet to satisfy their own needs for a certain period of time and then like an old newspaper discarded of it. Some people do the same with their aging parents.
Anyone can come up with an excuse for why they do not do a certain thing. Excuses turn out to be our guilt blankets. What people do not recognize is that each and every one of us is that other afflicted being. Because of the events in our life and largely because of the choices we make, we can become the victim or the perpetrator. We are not immune against having strong feelings and then acting them out. This is common to everyone. Instead, what we can do is try to become mindful of how we affect other sentient beings through the choices we make.
This is a patriotic gesture but many people mistakenly use it as a reason to focus on our differences further. Dividing ourselves from others can only lead to more suffering and hinder our inner growth. The statement “One nation indivisible under God….” does not have to pertain to a specific culture. Since there is one God, there is one nature – humanity. We choose to separate ourselves by judging others. This behavior can only lead to resentment, anger, hatred, and eventually to harmful acts. Our circle of love can be either large or really small. What I mean by circle of love is the one made up of those sentient beings that are part of our lives. In Western society, I have observed that people’s circle is very small. It is usually made up one’s partner and biological children. If one loves all of life, one’s circle will be ever-expending. Is it necessary to be focused only on our own children’s welfare and our own well-being, satisfaction and peace of mind?
